Features:

• Built to comply with NFPA-99 Safety Standard for Health Care Facilities and PVHO-1 Pressure Vessels for Human Occupancy.

• Can be used in monoplace or multiplace chambers.

• Panel speaker: for patient to attendant communication.

• A microphone handset for the chamber exterior panel : The exterior microphone is on a telephone style handset.  When the handset is lifted off it's hook, it provides private full duplex communications for the patient and attendant.  When the handset is on the hook, the patient can be heard on the exterior panel speaker.

• Automatic battery back up power. Activates when utility power is interrupted.

• Audio Entertainment input to chamber.

• Automatically mutes when handset is picked up.

• Current and voltage limiting barrier for chamber interior devices.  This provides compliance with NFPA 99 rules for hyperbaric chambers.

• System works with the RSI Mechanical Feed-Thru Speaker for the chamber speaker and a standard 8 ohm speaker as a microphone: Alternately the intercom will work with a standard 8 ohm speaker inside the chamber.
RSI Intercom System with Mechanical Feed-Thru Speaker
Mechanical Feed-Thru Speaker (MFTS):

The RSI MFTS provides an extra margin of safety for chamber interior communications.  This speaker is designed such that all electrical functions are located outside of the chamber pressure boundary.  Only the sound producing elements are inside the chamber.  This is made possible by the use of a special transducer that transmits audio energy into the chamber through a steel shaft to a flame resistant diaphragm located inside the chamber.  This improves chamber safety by negating the need for electrical wiring inside of the chamber associated with the speaker.
